A new way to have fun and embrace the history of Florence is to become immersed in it. So why not wear the renaissance clothes and walk along the streets as it was the renaissance? Why not take an educational and exciting walking tour in wonderful Renaissance clothing organized by Veronica Di Pietrantonio?
The first Renaissance tour was held on September 26, 2015 in the center of Florence. The art historian and guide illustrated the interiors of Palazzo Vecchio, the main squares, explained all the little secrets of Florence, and much more.
The elegant and precious costumes were given by Noleggio Costumi Teatrali. The custom rentals are part of an initiative commissioned by the director and actor Alessandro Riccio. Riccio selected Veronica Di Pietrantonio as responsible for the Costume Department. She graduated in Theatre Costume Theatre with the position of special-effects makeup artist at the Academy of Theatre-La Scala in Milan.
How does it work?
Veronica “I chose the costumes based on the personality of the individual participant, tastes and physical features. They can decide which is more appropriate. In the case of groups of friends, I try to maintain consistency of the century adopted.”
There are English, Italian and Spanish speaking guides available.
When is the next tour?
Veronica “We look forward to do it again soon, given the great enthusiasm for the event at the end of the day. We are glad to accommodate tourists and all those who, for one reason or another, are in Florence. Feel free to contact us directly on our Facebook under “Noleggio costumi teatrali” and to remain updated on upcoming events and tours.”
